You Might be a Marketer Career Workshop Kit

Curious about introducing your students to careers in marketing? The “You Might be a Marketer” (YMBAM) Career Workshop Kit offers an interactive way to explore career paths in marketing with ready-to-use materials, available to select schools on a limited basis. This workshop kit, created in collaboration with industry experts, is designed to engage and inspire students while helping them identify potential roles within marketing that match their interests and skills.

Workshop Overview:

This interactive workshop is designed to guide students in identifying their personal strengths and linking these to potential marketing career paths. The session fits into a 60- to 75-minute class, divided into two main sections:

  • Homework-Based Discussion:
  • Students will start by discussing their homework, which involves exploring industry interviews on the AEF TikTok. These videos feature marketing and advertising executives sharing their career journeys and daily responsibilities, helping students gain insight into various roles in the industry.

  • Introduction to ‘You Might Be a Marketer’:
  • The second part of the workshop introduces the You Might Be a Marketer campaign, which highlights different marketing career paths. Students receive materials—including a creative booklet and career guide—and work in small groups to identify how their strengths might align with different marketing roles. The session concludes with a group discussion on their discoveries.
