HBCU Campus Connect

As a means to better connect marketers and agencies to historically black colleges and universities, the AEF has launched the HBCU Campus Connect program. AEF recruits executives from leading marketing companies or advertising agencies who will visit your campus virtually or physically and speak in classes about subjects based upon the professors’ needs (e.g. media, research, IMC). Most visits will take place over the course of two days so executives can get to know students who are interested in advertising and marketing careers. Executives may give students an impromptu exercise, lead a resume/LinkedIn writing workshop and provide career coaching. All participating companies have committed to provide paid internships in 2021 for select students. Agency holding companies such as Omnicom, Publicis and IPG have already pledged to participate.

In conjunction with the HBCU Campus Connect program our partner organizations WARC and Cannes Lions will provide your faculty and students with free access to educational marketing content, cases, and insights to keep them abreast of the latest learning in the industry.

If your school is interested in learning more details about how you can get involved, please contact Elliot Lum.

"Our future marketing and advertising leaders are not just looking for a job, they are looking for a meaningful career that will make a positive impact on society."
