Florian Pequignot is the human resources leader for the global brand function at P&G. His role covers the full HR responsibilities for the four disciplines of the function: marketing, communications/ER, market research and design which represents more than 4000 professionals. He has a team of about 20 HR and line resources supporting him across five continents. Prior to this, Pequignot led P&G’s global talent operations group, leading talent development, HR analytics and Workforce planning efforts.

Pequignot joined P&G in April 2000 and has since held various HR roles at site, country, regional and global levels across 4 continents. His experiences are both as a HR generalist as well as a specialist in key areas such as recruiting, employee relations, organization excellence/development and talent management. Pequignot has helped transform P&G’s approach to performance management, designed and deployed a new career management system, led the redesign efforts of one of P&G’s major regions and ensured the effective startup of a country operation.

What prompted you to get involved with the AEF and why are you passionate about the future of the industry?

Working with best-in-class leaders from across the country to advance Brand capabilities in the industry. Nothing is more rewarding than helping develop future leaders.

What is the best career advice you've ever received?

Never stop learning: regardless of your tenure, your promotions, your age keep looking for how you can continue to grow and learn from every piece of feedback you get, even when you disagree with it.

Who was your favorite professor and why?

My high school geography teacher because he helped me understand how the world really operates and raised my interest for public matters.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Having a meaningful impact by helping Brand Builders becoming their best and representing the amazing diversity this country and the rest of the world has.
