Carlos Zepeda is responsible for the strategy and transformation agenda to drive future growth for Moet Hennessy USA. Zepeda joined the company as VP for Belvedere Vodka in 2014, leading the marketing and growth agenda for the brand. Under his leadership, the brand launched a single estate line to elevate the brand credentials and launched several partnerships with the likes of Janelle Monae and John Legend. Prior to Moet Hennessy, he was VP of marketing for Havaianas USA.

Previously, Zepeda held several marketing roles at PepsiCo over a span of 10 years where he led marketing for Diet Pepsi, Starbucks Ready-to-Drink and business development for the Foodservice division. He was chair of Adelante, PepsiCo’s LatinX ERG in the US. Earlier in his career, Zepeda held consulting positions at Ernst & Young’s Customer Connections practice and at Peppers and Rogers Group, working for a diverse industry set including retail, telecommunications, luxury automotive, consumer financial services and real estate.

What prompted you to get involved with the AEF and why are you passionate about the future of the industry?

The need to “pay it forward” to honor all the people that “gave me a chance”, “shared advice” or simply listened to an idea. I am passionate about how the next generation will shape our industry.

What is the best career advice you've ever received?

Focus on experiences and skills, not titles and promotions.

Who was your favorite professor and why?

Tom Collinger who stimulated curiosity and taught me the art of asking the right questions.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The opportunity to drive change and impact across the organization.
