At what levels do you recruit?

We only look at rising juniors and rising seniors at the time of application.

What is the academic background of students you are recruiting?

We are recruiting students who major in marketing and in communications as well as those who are in liberal arts and STEM.

Does the company have to be in a certain geographic location?

No. The company just needs to be located in the United States. All students must have the appropriate documentation to work in the United States.

The AEF does not pay for relocation for the students.

Do we have to pay for student relocation?

That is up to the company’s discretion. We do our best to match students with companies where those students have housing already or have a high degree of confidence that they can find housing.

What training do you provide the students?

We offer virtual training during the spring semester to get the students up to speed with soft skills as well as providing them an overview of what is happening in the industry – such as digital media, brand activation, creative storytelling, and multicultural marketing. We also conduct an in-person training.

Do you provide mentors for the students?

Yes, we pair students with mentors outside of your companies so that they have another resource for them.

Can I refer student candidates to you?

Yes, we are happy to take candidate referrals. However, they will have to go through the same process that all students go through and will be evaluated objectively and fairly against the criteria that we outlined.

With which schools do you have relationships?

We have relationships with more than 5,000 professors across a wide variety of schools from business to communications to liberal arts to STEM. We also have made a concerted outreach to Historically Black College and Universities (HBCUs) and schools that have strong Hispanic populations.
